Beginner's Course
The fastest, safest way to start Submission Grappling — no experience required.
What To Expect
Our Beginner's Course is specifically designed to equip newcomers with the fundamental motor skills, concepts, and confidence to keep up with any gym in the world — taught using the same ecological dynamics approach we use across SG², so you learn to adapt and problem-solve rather than just memorise moves.
Classes run in a small-group, coach-led environment focused on the core positions of Submission Grappling: base, guard, escapes and control. No gi, no jargon assumed, no judgement — just a clear on-ramp into the sport.

Beginner's Course FAQs
What should I wear to my first class?
We train No-Gi, so wear clean athletic shorts (no pockets or zips) and a snug-fitting t-shirt or rash guard. Loose clothing, jewellery and shoes aren't allowed on the mats.
Is there a trial before I commit?
Yes — the 8-Day Trial (S$65) gives you full access to get a proper feel for the course before deciding on a membership. Book it below, or via WhatsApp.
Do I need to be in shape to start?
Not at all. Grappling training is designed to build your fitness, not require it going in. Our coaches scale every drill to your current capability so you can progress safely.
Ready To Start?
